The effects of different temperatures (80 ℃ and 130 ℃) and different vulcanization temperatures (130 ℃, 140 ℃, and 150 ℃) on volatile organic compounds (VOCs) of two natural rubbers (SVR 3 L and SPR 10#) were investigated by static headspace coupled with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. The results showed that VOCs in the two natural rubbers could be volatilized and detected at 130 ℃, and the VOCs in SVR 3 L were mainly ethanol and acetic acid, while the VOCs in SPR 10# were mainly aldehydes except for ethanol and acetic acid. Different vulcanization temperatures had little effect on total volatile organic compounds in the two natural rubbers, indicating that the high temperature and high pressure conditions in the vulcanization process could cause the volatilization or reaction of VOCs, and the VOCs of vulcanization rubber mainly came from the thermal decomposition products of vulcanization accelerators.
